NASA and the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) are working to advance space fission surface power systems on the Moon to benefit future exploration under Artemis.
USGS is partnering with NASA and the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) for Research and Engineering to increase capabilities in off-world resource surveying.
The world’s most powerful rocket will make a trip around the Moon in 2022 — a step towards landing people there in 2025, and part of the US Artemis program.
