Scientists Identify Source of the Moon’s Water
Most of the water inside the Moon was delivered by asteroids (not comets) during the early evolution of the Moon, ~4.5-4.3 billion years ago.
Five nations have placed scientific spacecraft in orbit around the Moon: U.S., U.S.S.R (now Russia), Japan, China, and India.
