Lunar Swirl Features Reproduced by Modeling Solar Wind Standoff
New models using NASA’s supercomputer and lunar satellite observations reproduce lunar swirl features.
The distance to the Moon is measured to a precision of a few centimeters by bouncing laser beams off reflectors placed there by the Apollo astronauts.
